Rijk Zwaan Australia sells seed of varieties developed by its group companies. Rijk Zwaan Australia has a policy of selling directly to the end user (grower or seedling nursery). However, in some areas local factors are such that the market is serviced better through local distributors.

Rijk Zwaan Australia sells seed in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. The Australian sales organization consists of technical representatives located in the major growing regions of Australia.

Seed Production
In addition to commercial activities, Rijk Zwaan Australia produces vegetable seeds for its parent company. These are produced mainly on our own farm in Daylesford. Some of the production takes place at farms of contract growers. The farm in Daylesford is also used for quality control grow-outs of new seed productions and comparative variety trials.

Research and Development
Rijk Zwaan Australia supports the international RZ breeding programs through providing continued variety evaluation during the Northern hemisphere off season. Rijk Zwaan Australia co-operates with local public plant breeders on research issues specific to Australia.
