Auroch RZ is an oriental-style spinach variety. Leaves are smooth, round, and relatively dark. The leaf blade is not too long.
This is the ideal variety for baby leaf and bunching crops, harvesting in mid-winter. It is upright and fast-growing, it suffers less leaf damage when enduring strong rain or hail conditions. It has the vigour to perform in extended periods of cold and dull weather.
Care should be taken not to sow Auroch RZ too heavily for baby leaf crops; 800 seeds per square metre is sufficient.
