Apply now: Protected cropping Europe tour
Australian growers have the opportunity to visit Rijk Zwaan’s state-of-the-art facilities in Holland, as well as a protected cropping demonstration greenhouse in Spain, as part of the AUSVEG European Industry Leadership and Development Mission in February 2019.
Applications for the two-week study mission are now open. In addition to seeing major protected cropping growing regions and innovative agribusinesses in Germany, Spain and the Netherlands, the group will attend the Berlin Fruit Logistica, one of the world’s leading fresh produce trade shows.
By taking part, you’ll be able to:
- Learn more about the latest production practices and innovative technology being used around the world and consider how these could be translated into the Australian industry.
- Increase your understanding of the issues facing growers overseas and how they’re tackling them, which can help you better analyse your own production challenges and consider new approaches.
- Build and strengthen your relationships within the vegetable industry – both with your fellow delegates, who’ll be growers from around Australia, and with international industry members who’ll have new ways of looking at problems.
This tour is part-funded by Hort Innovation and participants will be required to make a contribution of $3,000 (including GST). Flights, accommodation, transport and most meal expenses will be covered by mission costs.
