Dusanka Milunovic
Travelling throughout Western Australia to support farmers growing right across the State, Dusanka is committed to finding solutions to local grower challenges. She is also heavily involved in our research and development program as a variety specialist.
Dusanka inherited a passion for agriculture from her parents and chose to study agriculture in her native Bosnia before arriving in Australia. She worked extensively as a plant breeder in New South Wales, and as a technical officer at Cotton Research Station for the Department of Agriculture in Queensland before starting work with Rijk Zwaan in 2004.
Dusanka’s priority is to support customers and find ways to help them succeed. She was integral to introducing the celery variety, Kelvin RZ to WA growers, which has made year-round production possible due its low tendancy to bolt in this zone. She has been instrumental in assisting the growth of the cucumber production in Geraldton, the capsicum sector in Carnarvon and the important field tomato production throughout WA.
Dusanka has expertise across our entire seed range and an acute understanding of each of their traits align with grower needs in the Western Australian context. She also brings the specialist knowledge of greenhouse crops to our team, and is our resident carrot crop specialist.
