Sweet Palermo® is the name for a range of selected sweet pointed capsicum varieties bred by Rijk Zwaan. They are Dulce Italiano-style peppers, featuring a recognisable twisted top, and are the best-tasting peppers available. The whole Sweet Palermo® range is a suite of bright colours and surprisingly sweet tastes. While most standard sweet, pointed capsicums have a maximum brix value of 7, Sweet Palermo can achieve a 9. It is great both fresh and cooked.
Palermo Obedius RZ is the orange coloured capsicum in the Sweet Palermo® range.
This variety produces fruit with crunchy, thin skin, fewer seeds and excellent shelf life. The average fruit weight is around 120g.
Obedius RZ is an open plant with medium vigour and a generative habit.
It is suitable for heated greenhouse crops, short-cycle unheated crops in summer, and protected crops in summer.
