Exonic RZ is a crisp lettuce with incised leaves. The apple-green leaves are more buttery on the palate than some other varieties, yet hold their structure very well.
Exonic offers the whole package. It is high yielding, slow bolting, and is strong against tip burn – while still having enough vigour to get through the winter. It is also up-to-date with the latest downy mildew resistances.
On top of all that, it features both Knox™ and the advantages of Salanova®.
Salanova® is the brand name for Rijk Zwaan's innovative range of one-cut ready lettuce.
Knox™ is a naturally occurring trait that delays the pinking of cut leaf surfaces, offering longer shelf life. This means less waste, more profit, and excellent suitability for the processed market.
